Major Change To Affect Businesses On Twin Cities Airports

Al Lange, President of the Minnesota Aviation Trades Association (MATA), has confirmed that Gary Schmidt of the Metropolitan Airports Commission (MAC), will meet with members during MATA’s annual conference on Monday, March 19, 2012 at the Earle Brown Heritage Center in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota. Schmidt will discuss the scheduling events related to the proposed minimum operating standards for businesses on reliever airports in the Twin Cities Metropolitan Area. These minimum standards will affect all Twin Cities operators, and what affects Twin Cities operators, affects all operators in the state of Minnesota.
Also speaking will be Chris Roy, Director of Aeronautics for the State of Minnesota; NATA President Jim Coyne; AOPA Representative Bill Blake; Dale Klapmeier of Cirrus; and Ron Adams and Jon Ziulkowski of Swift Enterprises. Adams and Ziulkowski will cover their research on “alternate fuels.”
