In an August 22, 2014 letter to U.S. Transportation Secretary Anthony Foxx, 32 members of the U.S. House of Representatives General Aviation Caucus urged the department to speed up the review of a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) proposal to reform the third-class medical requirements. That review must be completed before the FAA can issue a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) for public comment.
