Those who contributed greatly to sport aviation are honored during this annual banquet in the museum’s Founders’ Wing. Honorees include those from the homebuilt, vintage, warbird, aerobatic, and ultralight communities, as well as an Oshkosh-area EAA volunteer for the Henry Kimberly Spirit of Leadership Award. All veterans and current military personnel are admitted free to the museum on this day. Among the highlights this year is the “D-Day Plus 75” exhibit in the Eagle Hangar, a unique short-term exhibit that features actual artifacts and memorabilia from the Allies invasion of Normandy in June 1944.

in-flight fire in the cockpit and crash landing of
his T-28, that occurred at the Anoka County
Airport back on August 23rd of 2018.
Event to be held on Sunday, November 24th at the Golden Wings Museum located at the South end of the Anoka airport in Blaine. Doors open at 2:00pm and the presentation begins at 3:00pm.
