Minnesota Aviation Hall of Fame Inductee Banquet will be held The new date is Saturday, April 17, 2021 and the venue has been changed to the DoubleTree by Hilton Bloomington – Minneapolis South at 7800 Normandale Boulevard, Minneapolis, MN 55439. Going forward, all current banquet reservations will be honored for the banquet on April 17, 2021. We realize that some of you may have other plans for that date or not be able to attend. If you hold a banquet reservation and you know you won’t be able to attend the banquet on April 17, 2021 then it’s important that you let me know by email, regular mail or a phone call. Refunds will be given for those guests who request it and mailed out in the weeks ahead. If you cannot attend and are in a position to make a donation of the price of your ticket ($60), we also encourage you to do so. All donations are gratefully accepted and benefit our scholarship and other programs! Please take a minute and respond to this email so we know you are updated with the new date. And please let us know if you are unable to attend on the new date. Our banquet committee will be reaching out to each and every one of you at the contact information you provided to ensure you are kept updated and to determine your intentions for attending April 17, 2021. We will continue to work diligently to ensure all details are finalized and thank you for your patience and for your continued support as we all navigate this unprecedented situation. The Covid virus is proving to be entirely unpredictable – With that in mind we will assess the situation once again at the end of January and update you again at that time. This year’s inductees are: Eugene Andreotti, James G. Baker, Harold H. Brown, James T. Hancock, Chester W. Hazelton, Glenn L. Hovland, William A. Mavencamp & Barbara J. Wiley-Lindquist The Best Aviation Writing Award for 2020, co-authors of the book, Keep Your Airspeed Up: The Story of a Tuskegee Airman, will be presented to Marsha S. Bordner and Harold H. Brown The Best Aviation Art Award for 2020 will be presented to artist Nicholas Legeros.
