This edition of “Midwest Seaplane Pilot” is dedicated to the “Minnesota Seaplane Pilots Association Annual Safety Seminar & Fly-In” to be held May 18-20, 2018 at Madden’s Resort in Brainerd, Minnesota. Madden’s is a popular destination for seaplane pilots, as well as pilots on wheels throughout the Midwest. Madden’s Resort operates its own seaplane base on Gull Lake, as well as East Gull Lake Airport (9Y2), located adjacent to the resort. Courtesy shuttle service is available between the airport and the resort, but is not needed when landing a floatplane on Gull Lake (www.Maddens.com).
