Brodhead Airport – EAA Chapter 431
Field Condition Update for Grassroots Fly-In
News Release from Monday, Sept. 3, 2018
Brodhead Airport has received several inches of new rain over the weekend and along with the already saturated ground, the grass conditions are poor for the MAAC Grassroots fly-in this coming weekend.
Effective immediately, no RVs or trailer campers will be allowed on the airport grounds. Campers may be able to secure alternate space at area campgrounds or lodging facilities. Visit www.eaa431.org/brodhead-area-lodging
All aircraft should use caution on all runways and taxiways. The turf is soft and there may be standing water in low areas as rain continues through the week.
Autos and trucks should park only in designated areas and on a hard surface where possible.
Please watch for updates as conditions may change. Also, please help pass the word on these new restrictions to others that you know to be traveling to Brodhead.
