Fargo Air Museum Celebrates 20 Years with Wings of Honor Dinner and Auction

Fargo, ND: The Fargo Air Museum is hosting the Wings of Honor Dinner and Auction on March 26, 2021. Formerly known as the Celebrity Dinner and Auction, Wings of Honor Dinner and Auction has been a staple fundraising event at Fargo Air Museum for over a decade. This year, the event also serves as a time celebration for the 20 year anniversary of the Fargo Air Museum. Funds raised at this year’s event will help support the museum’s expanding youth education programs and capital improvement projects.

This year’s featured aircraft is the Vought F4U Corsair, an American fighter aircraft that was used primarily in World War II and the Korean War. The Corsair in attendance is owned by Cindy and Whitney Beck and the late Gerry Beck, who was one of the founding members of the Fargo Air Museum. The aircraft will be flying up from the Wings of the North Museum in Eden Prairie, MN and will be on display prior to the event.

Throughout the night, attendees will have the chance to hear from special guests who served in World War II including Lyle Bradley, a retired Marine Corps fighter pilot who flew the Corsair during both World War II and the Korean War. Bradley will share his experiences at war and speak about the accomplishments, performance, and the role of the Corsair in times of combat.

The schedule of the night includes a social hour and plated dinner along with the silent and live auctions. Attendees will have the opportunity to bid on a variety of items, packages, and experiences during both the live and silent auction. Items available for bid include B-25 panels autographed by Gen. James H. “Jimmy” Doolittle, a Lil’ Pig Pellet Grill, and a once-in-a-lifetime ride in a P-51 Mustang.

The event will be held in compliance with city and state COVID-19 guidelines. Part of this compliance includes limiting the number of attendees in accordance with capacity restrictions. Tickets are for sale now at fargoairmuseum.org/wings-of-honor.
