SPECIAL EVENTS: NBAA: The Inspiring Seat You Aspire To Sit In

In aviation, every seat tells a story. Whether it’s the pilot’s seat up front or the cabin seat in a multi-million-dollar business jet, each represents ambition, discipline, and a shared passion for flight.

At the National Business Aviation Association Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (NBAA-BACE), Oct. 14-16, 2025, at the Las Vegas Convention Center and Henderson Executive Airport (HND), I heard a thought-provoking question to those stepping aboard a multi-million-dollar business jet:

“When you step inside, will you turn left or right?”

It’s a question that makes you pause. Turning left means you aspire to the cockpit — the seat of mastery, leadership, and precision. It’s where countless hours of training and passion come together. Turning right takes you into the cabin — the business seat. It’s earned through vision, determination, and success. It represents the ability to create, to connect, and to use aviation as a tool for progress. Both answers inspire, because both seats serve a purpose. Every seat tells a different chapter of aviation’s story — a profession, a privilege, and a dream come true.

For pilots, the left seat is a lifelong pursuit. It’s the heart of aviation, where passion meets precision and dreams take flight. For owners and executives, the right seat reflects possibility. It’s not just luxury, it’s efficiency, freedom, and opportunity. The airplane becomes a bridge between ambition and achievement, a ticket to anywhere.

NBAA brings this shared spirit to life. It’s where innovation meets inspiration, where those who turn left and those who turn right celebrate the same extraordinary passion for flight. Because in truth, the most inspiring seat isn’t defined by direction… it’s defined by what it represents: commitment, courage, and accomplishment.

So, the next time you step aboard, ask yourself, “which seat do I aspire to sit in, and which seat have I earned?

Either way, both are a testament to the remarkable spirit of aviation and the people whose dreams make it soar.
