The Minnesota Aviation Trades Association (MATA) has announced Guy Svehlek as the recipient of its 2026 Aviation Scholarship, recognizing his academic achievement and commitment to a career in aviation.
Guy Svehlek, a student at Academy College pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Commercial Aviation, received the $1,000 scholarship. The annual award supports aspiring aviation professionals who demonstrate academic excellence and a strong commitment to careers as pilots or aviation maintenance technicians.
The Minnesota Aviation Trades Association is a nonprofit organization representing aviation businesses, maintenance providers, and service organizations throughout Minnesota and the Upper Midwest. Through its scholarship program, MATA invests in the next generation of aviation professionals while helping strengthen the region’s aviation workforce.
