As another EAA AirVenture comes to a close, it’s hard not to reflect on everything that makes Oshkosh the “World’s Greatest Aviation Celebration.” From breathtaking daily airshows and impressive aircraft displays to educational forums, product unveilings, and reunions with friends old and new, the week once again showcased the very best of the aviation community.
Whether you attended for a single day or spent the entire week on the grounds, AirVenture offered something for everyone. Pilots, aircraft owners, aviation professionals, students, and enthusiasts gathered from around the world to celebrate a shared passion for flight. The conversations, connections, and memories created throughout the week are what keep so many people returning year after year.
For Midwest Flyer Magazine, AirVenture is always an opportunity to connect with readers, advertisers, airport leaders, and industry partners while discovering new stories to share in the months ahead. Thank you to everyone who stopped by to visit, shared your experiences, or took the time to introduce yourself—we always enjoy meeting members of our aviation community.
As we unpack, sort through hundreds of photos, and prepare coverage from this year’s event, we invite you to relive the excitement through our upcoming print and online stories.
We’d also love to hear about your AirVenture experience! Did you capture an incredible photo, witness a memorable moment, reconnect with old friends, or have a story that perfectly captures the spirit of Oshkosh? Send us your favorite AirVenture photo along with a brief description or story. Your submission may be featured in an upcoming issue of Midwest Flyer or on our social media channels, helping inspire fellow aviation enthusiasts and preserve the memories that make AirVenture so special.
If you weren’t able to attend this year, or you’re already planning your next trip, now is the perfect time to mark your calendar. EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2027 is scheduled for July 19–25, 2027. Start making plans now—you won’t want to miss another unforgettable week of aviation, innovation, education, and camaraderie.
Until next year, blue skies, tailwinds, and safe flying!
