Just In The Nick of Time…. House Passes 6-Month FAA Funding Extension

WASHINGTON, D.C. (September 28, 2015) – The U.S. House of Representatives has passed a six-month funding extension for the Federal Aviation Administration. The bill authorizes $4.87 billion for FAA operations, $1.3 billion for construction of navigational facilities and equipment, and $78.4 million for research, engineering and development. The bill also provides $1.68 billion in contract authority for Airport Improvement Program (AIP) grants from the Airport and Airway Trust Fund for the first half of the fiscal year. The measure will now be sent to the Senate for approval with just two days remaining until the current FAA reauthorization expires.
