From June 17-20, 2025, 40 teams comprising over 90 women pilots took off from Fairhope, Alabama, on a historic race to Spokane, Washington. In keeping with the 96-year rich history of women’s air racing and the 48th race of its kind, the pilots of this year’s Air Race Classic were met with challenges involving weather, decision-making, aircraft performance, and strategy. After the judges reviewed each team’s GPS tracking data, the teams were scored accordingly. The winning teams from the Competition and Intercollegiate Classes are as follows:
Competition Class Top Finishers:
- Team 41 – “Skybound Scotts” piloted by Lauren Scott and Rebecca Carroll in a Cessna 182P.
- Team 12 – “Freakin’ Awesome” piloted by Lin Caywood and Susan Beall in a Cessna 182T.
