ST. PAUL, MINN. -The Minnesota Business Aviation Association (MBAA) delivered an unforgettable “lunch and learn” event, May 19, 2025, at Jetcraft’s impressive facility located at St. Paul Downtown Airport/Holman Field (KSTP).
This was a true gathering of aviation ingenuity, passion, and collaborative spirit.
Starting with an informational presentation from Kristi Glassman from
GogoAviation, showcasing the new Galileo WI-FI smartplane antenna. This was followed by the arrival of Bombardier’s Challenger 3500 jet, which had just completed an inflight demonstration. Jetcraft, renowned for its expertise in aircraft transactions and solutions, created an inviting and professional atmosphere that set the tone for the day. Both Jetcraft and MBAA highlighted the importance of collaboration within Minnesota’s aviation community.
MBAA has long been a trailblazer in promoting business aviation throughout the state and the Upper Midwest. With over 600 passionate
members, MBAA represents a diverse community that includes pilots, flight attendants, mechanics, avionics technicians, schedulers, aircraft manufacturers, catering companies, drone operators, and many others who contribute to aviation.
Under Grant Fitzer’s leadership, MBAA has proven to be a driving force for advancement in the industry. Fitzer and his dedicated team showcased their expertise by curating an event that was both educational and inspiring. His devotion for understanding the nuances of business aviation was evident at every turn, further energizing members and attendees to embrace the industry’s present and future opportunities.
The crown jewel, Bombardier’s Challenger 3500, seamlessly blends luxury and functionality for business and leisure travelers. Pilots and crew were
on hand to provide insights into the jet’s unparalleled capabilities, allowing everyone to experience firsthand the precision and passion behind Bombardier’s creation.
For many, stepping inside the Challenger 3500 was nothing short of awe-inspiring. Students from the Eden Prairie High School aeronautics and aerospace program were especially moved, as they marveled at the craftsmanship and cutting-edge technology that define this remarkable jet. Among the jet’s many features that lead the way is the industry-first-voice control, unmatched 4k cabin entertainment, making it the smartest aircraft in its class.
For newcomers to MBAA, like myself, this event was a gateway to a vibrant community of like-minded individuals. Joining MBAA has been a thrilling experience, and participating in this “Lunch and Learn” event solidified my appreciation for its mission to foster growth within the industry.
