SIREN, WIS. – As announced in the June 2025 issue of Midwest Flyer Monthly, (https://midwestflyer.com/grantsburg-airports-future-still-in-limbo/), the trial scheduled for May 5, 2025, at the Burnett County Courthouse in Siren, Wis., to determine the fate of Grantsburg Municipal Airport (KGTG), was postponed at the request of the attorney representing the Village of Grantsburg. The trial was rescheduled and held on October 28th without a jury as per the judge’s preference, and a decision has still not been reached. The judge gave the village another four or five months to submit its arguments, and then he will make his decision.
