Doolittle Raiders To Meet One Last Time

Eglin AFB, Fla. — The Doolittle Tokyo Raiders will hold their final public reunion, April 16-21, 2013, at the military base in which they trained. The squadron of daring pilots and crew trained at then Eglin Field, Florida, under the leadership of Lt. Col. James H. “Jimmy” Doolittle, who led the 16 Army B-25 bombers off the deck of the aircraft carrier Hornet on April 18, 1942, and bombed five major Japanese cities in retaliation of Japan’s attack on Pearl Harbor.
