WASHINGTON, DC – The General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA) applauds the newly appointed Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Deputy Administrator Dan Elwell for reiterating the FAA’s firm commitment to the Automatic Dependent Surveillance Broadcast (ADS-B) 2020 compliance deadline for all aircraft flying in designated airspace, in some of his first public remarks at the NextGen Advisory Committee meeting in June.
Air traffic control system modernization activities are accelerating worldwide and general aviation has been at the forefront of this transformation.
