LAKELAND, FLA. – On Friday, February 1, 2013, a Boeing 727-200F aircraft operated by FedEx Express will complete its final flight as it lands at Lakeland Linder Airport, where it will be used at the Florida Air Museum Center for Innovation and Exploration as an interactive aviation classroom for students of Polk County. This marks the 62nd FedEx donation of a Boeing 727 to various organizations for educational purposes since 2000. The aircraft was in service for more than 20 years, transporting packages to destinations throughout the United States.
