First Person To Fly Off A Ship To Be Honored

WILLIAMSBURG, IOWA – Memorial ceremonies for Eugene Ely, the first person to take off and land an airplane from and onto a ship, will be held Sunday, October 23, 2011 at East York Cemetery, 7 miles east of Williamsburg, Iowa.
