
MIDDLETON, WIS. – Debbie (Morey) Maier, 65, daughter of longtime flight instructor, fixed base operator and airport manager, Field Morey, and sister to the current president of Morey Airplane Company and manager of Middleton Municipal Airport/Morey Field, Richard Morey, has died from a sudden illness. Debbie was the office manager of Morey Airplane Company since 2006, and a giver to the highest degree. Even at the end of her life, Debbie was an organ donor giving those in need another opportunity to continue living their lives.
Debbie is survived by her husband, Dale Maier, daughter Deedee (Derik) Wriedt; sons Dane (Kari) Maier and Dylan Maier; granddaughter, Demi; father, Field Morey; brother, Richard Morey; and niece, Jane Sailor-Morey. She was preceded in death by her mother, Carolyn.
Morey Airplane Company is one of the oldest, continuously family-operated, full-service fixed base operations in Wisconsin, and Middleton Municipal Airport – Morey Field (C29) in Middleton, Wisconsin, bears the family’s name which was founded by Debbie’s grandfather, Howard Morey, in 1942 (www.MoreyAirport.com).
