Wichita Aero Club Creates Edward W. Stimpson Scholarship

WICHITA, KAN. – The Wichita Aero Club has announced the creation of the Edward W. Stimpson Scholarship to honor the memory of the late President of the General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA) and ICAO Ambassador for those applicants who seek to make a significant contribution to the aviation industry upon complet-ion of their education.

Stimpson, along with Russ Meyer at Cessna and others, helped spearhead the effort to pass the General Aviation Revitalization Act of 1994, which helped preserve or create many thousands of jobs.
