2021 Virtual Minnesota & Wisconsin Aviation Maintenance Technician and IA Renewal Conference

Posted on January 17, 2021January 17, 2021 by mwflyer

MARK YOUR CALENDARS

Based off conversations between MnDOT Aeronautics and the Minneapolis FSDO, we have determined the best course of action is to not conduct a MN Aircraft Maintenance Technician & IA Renewal Conference in 2021 in-person as we traditionally have. We are currently not aware of any in-person seminars being conducted at this time due to ongoing COVID-19 concerns.

Alternatively, we will be holding a series of free, live, online webinars through www.FAASafety.gov to provide at least 8 hours of credit towards IA renewal. This training is being provided through a partnership between the Minneapolis and Milwaukee FSDO’s, MnDOT Aeronautics and WisDOT Bureau of Aeronautics. There are additional options for renewal on www.FAASafety.gov and other websites, some of which have a cost associated. We are planning to have some separate online exhibitor sessions as well for those that are interested.

We hope that you join us February 1-5, 2021 from 1:00 – 3:00 pm.  (and possible evening sessions)

There are a limited number of speaker sessions, so if you are interested in giving a presentation, please contact Troy Siekas troy.siekas@faa.gov or myself as soon as possible.  Some sessions will be live and some maybe recorded.

We are also working on virtual exhibitor interactions throughout the week.  More details will be forthcoming.

More information about the webinars, including the schedule of events, will be provided on our website www.mndot.gov/aero when it is available.

This new online process will come with some challenges, and we really appreciate your flexibility and understanding. I will miss seeing you all in February but I hope you know I’ll do whatever I can to help you attend this training, and get us all together again in March 2022.

Please reach out with any questions or concerns.
