The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) Office of Aeronautics has released the 2025 “Minnesota Airport Directory and Travel Guide.” This guide is designed to provide information on airports, their essential services and their local attractions. It allows for airports and seaplane bases to be located quickly and includes contact information for airport managers. The directory is updated annually with new information provided by local airports.
Each year the directory cover features the winner of the annual photo contest that captures the spirit of Minnesota’s aviation community. This year, the cover photo was taken by Dave Swartz, a published professional photographer. The photo is of a Waco UPF-7 that was restored in Faribault, Minnesota.
MnDOT provides several ways to access the latest version of the directory. You can easily download either a high- or low-resolution pdf copy or download the custom content pack that integrates the Minnesota Airport Directory and Travel Guide into the ForeFlight mobile app. You can access individual airport information pages directly through the airport procedure tab in ForeFlight. MnDOT has also created a mapping application that allows you to interact with the directory. The app is a trip planning tool by which you can filter through airports by their features and amenities.
You can easily find the high- or low-resolution pdf, the ForeFlight Content Pack or the AirportFinder App at: Minnesota Airport Directory and Travel Guide. Additionally, if you are interested in receiving a hard copy of the 2026 Airport Directory, you can find the order form on this web page as well. The new hard copy versions are typically mailed out in February.
