Seaplane pilots and aviation enthusiasts from across the region will gather this September for the 2026 Minnesota Seaplane Pilots Association (MSPA) September Safety Seminar, an annual event combining aviation education, safety, and plenty of seaplane fun.
The weekend will feature a spectacular seaplane fly-in, educational and safety seminars, more than 20 aviation-related vendors, and opportunities to connect with fellow pilots and aviation professionals.
Among this year’s featured speakers is Bruno Brasileiro Ferreira, known to his followers as @FlyWithBruno. Ferreira shares his aviation adventures and challenges while flying his 1978 Grumman AA5B Tiger through YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok.
The event gets underway Friday afternoon with a Seaplane Ground School led by Mark Cook, FAAST Team Representative. The ground school is free to attend and offers pilots an opportunity to sharpen their knowledge while preparing for the weekend’s activities. Friday evening continues with a social hour and buffet dinner.
Saturday will feature an accuracy landing contest, followed by a banquet dinner. Attendees can also participate in a silent auction and prize drawing, adding to the weekend’s social atmosphere.
Whether you’re an experienced seaplane pilot, an aviation enthusiast, or simply interested in learning more about seaplane operations, the MSPA September Safety Seminar offers a great opportunity to learn, connect, and celebrate the unique world of seaplane flying.
Register for the 2026 MSPA September Safety Seminar and make plans to join fellow seaplane enthusiasts for this annual aviation gathering.
