MIDLAND, TEXAS – The Commemorative Air Force (CAF) has named Adam Smith Executive Vice President of Strategic Development. In this role, Smith will oversee the execution of CAF’s “Airbase Strategy” and will lead the design, funding and construction of the CAF National Airbase, and will ultimately oversee existing and future airbases. Prior to this appointment, Smith was an executive with the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) for 11 years, overseeing the EAA AirVenture Museum, the Young Eagles and chapter programs, membership, and EAA AirVenture Oshkosh. More recently, Smith was an executive with the Aircraft Owners & Pilots Association (AOPA).
